LOCATION

BOFIT’s premises are next to the Bank of Finland’s main building, at the address Rauhankatu 19, Helsinki (see map). The Bank of Finland’s auditorium, library and seminar rooms are located in the building.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The Bank of Finland is easy to reach by public transport or walking. Tram stops (1, 1A, 7A and 7B) are located on Snellmaninkatu, in the immediate proximity to the Bank. The Railway Station Square (Rautatientori) and the Kaisaniemi tram and bus stops are within walking distance. The nearest metro station, University of Helsinki, is also located at Kaisaniemi. PARKING

Parking spaces are limited close to the Bank of Finland and charges apply. The parking payment machines operate only with a bank or credit card; it is no longer possible to pay with coins.

SEMINARS

BOFIT regularly organises open seminars for researchers. Those wishing to attend a seminar are kindly asked to register in advance; registration instructions can be found in the seminar programmes. The seminars are held in BOFIT’s premises, at the address Rauhankatu 19 B. Seminar visitors will be escorted from the entrance to the seminar room.

INFORMATION FOR SPEAKERS AND VISITORS

Those giving presentations should note that memory sticks cannot be used in the Bank’s computers. Presentations may be sent by email to the organiser of the event in good time prior to the event. It is possible to connect laptops from outside the Bank to presentation projectors. The premises have an accessible Wi-Fi network.
