Banking in Emerging Markets: Challenges and Opportunities (CfP PDF)

The Center for Institutional Studies, National Research University – Higher School of Economics (CInSt HSE), with the support of the Bank of Finland Institute for Economies in Transition (BOFIT) organizes 2nd Banking workshop "Banking in Emerging Markets: Challenges and Opportunities". The workshop will be held on November 16, 2012 in HSE, Moscow. It is aimed at bringing together scholars involved with various aspects of banking in the Europe's emerging markets, as well as emerging markets elsewhere. We will discuss the current issues concerning banking in these countries, regulation challenges, financial crisis influence on banks' choice of strategies and banking markets' structure changes and other related topics.
 
The workshop program will include invited and contributed sessions.
Workshop's language is English.

The papers including authors’ names, full addresses and emails should be sent to Maria Semenova (msemenova@hse.ru). Application deadline is July 1, 2012. Authors will be notified about the selection process results by July 31, 2012.
